Born in Yaounde, Cameroon, angry natives have reportedly turned the heat on the father of Breel Embolo who is representing Switzerland at the FIFA World Cup.
Angry fans and natives of Breel Embolo’s village in Cameroon have reportedly attacked his father’s house for allegedly betraying his country of birth.

Embolo penetrated the Cameroon backline and netted the sole goal in Switzerland’s World Cup opener against the Indomitable Lions winning 1-0. In respect for his motherland, Embolo did not celebrate the goal.
In an unverified viral video clip, a mob, some with Cameroon national flag are seem pelting a house alleged to be that of Embolo’s father. While the striker moved to Switzerland with the mother, Embolo’s father resides in Cameroon.
While the gesture for not celebrating his first World Cup goal was not enough, he admitted that it felt unusual because Cameroon is part of him in post match presser.
“I’m extremely proud of my first World Cup goal, but it feels unusual for me,” the Monaco striker reflected. “Cameroon is a part of me.”

Meanwhile, Cameroon coach Rigobert Song described Emb0l0 as a little brother.
“We know each other, Breel is my little brother,” he said.
“We often speak to each other on the phone and I wanted to congratulate him. It is fair play to do so. Just because we are on different teams, it does not mean we are not still brothers.”
