Genevieve Nnaji is one of Nollywood’s favourite veteran actresses, so it makes sense that people would be concerned about her at the slightest hint that something is wrong. This is what happened after the alarm was sounded recently.
It is no secret that the actress keeps a low profile. With the proliferation of social media, some people simply realised that they are more inclined to keep their personal lives to themselves, while others have flourished in the digital space, enjoying sharing their every thought as well as all the happenings in their lives.

The film star seems to lean towards privacy. However, she now seems to have gone Missing In Action, raising alarm amongst her loyal fans.
A popular blogger recently raised concern that the actress had just celebrated her birthday, but had failed to post anything on social media. Obviously, this is quite uncharacteristic, even from those of us who are not celebrities.
Birthdays are a special occasion, so even those who don’t normally share a lot on social media often make an exception for the one day a year when everybody celebrates them.
The post caused concern, as many fans flooded the comments to wonder out loud whether that should be taken as a sign that something is wrong.

According to some, they have seen way too many posts about celebrities struggling with their mental health, and they would rather be hypervigilant in checking up on them, than be lax about it and risk it being a situation where someone was crying out for help but nobody took notice.
But others felt like there was no cause for alarm. Not everybody posts about their birthday, so it should not be a big deal that Genevieve Nnaji didn’t either. Additionally, she is said to have avoided posting about her birthday for about three years in a row, so this incident should not be taken to heart.
It is, however, a really sweet gesture that her fans would look out for her in this manner. She has clearly cultivated a loyal fan base and captured a lot of hearts, and with talent like hers, it is not difficult to see why.
This is not the first time that concern is being raised about the actress’s well being because she is missing in action. Just a few weeks ago, it was a big issue when the actress failed to show up at the lavish wedding of fellow actress Rita Dominic.
The two have been in the same industry circles for a long time, so it makes sense that fans would expect Genevieve to be there to celebrate Rita’s big day.
It seems to be becoming a pattern of no-shows for Genevieve. Which begs the question, is the actress okay? Should we be concerned?
