Multiple award-winning Ghanaian journalist, Bridget Otoo has reacted to the report that she has been sacked from Metro TV barely 24 hours she announced publicly her employment by the station.
We were all excited when news broke that Bridget Otoo was set for a big comeback to our screens after taking about six years of rest from media following her issues at TV3.
Sources revealed that Bridget was joining Metro TV as host of the station’s primetime news show dubbed ‘News Night’ which airs between the hours of 7-8 PM each weekday.

Strangely enough, barely 24 hours after that report went viral, it emerged that the NPP Government in power had allegedly forced the owners of Metro TV to rescind their decision and sack her.
This allegation was fueled by some supporters of the opposition NDC on social media.
Annan Perry Arhin, a member of NDC’s Communications team has posted that President Akufo-Addo, acting as government, has directed Metro TV to sack Bridget Otoo.
According to him, the government wants her out of Metro TV because she supports John Mahama and bashes the Akufo-Addo-led administration, allegedly.

He wrote: ”Are you wondering why Bridget Otoo didn’t show up on #NewsNight at 7 pm, Akufo Addo/Bawumia/Npp government have instructed the owners of metro tv to sack her with immediate effect because she bashes them and is a supporter of John Mahama”
Amid all these speculations, Bridget Otoo took to her Twitter timeline to drop a rather cryptic post as a subtle reaction to all these.
Bridget shared a snippet of the famous Indian movie ‘Three Idiots’ which had the lead characters singing the song, ‘all is well’. She caption the video: ”One of the best movies ever made ….”
Social media users are claiming Bridget is trying to say she is not bothered by what rumour goes around about her and that “all is well” in her life.
