Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has revealed that her cousin who resides in London, United Kingdom, has died of complications resulting from a kidney transplant.
The 42-year-old actress announced the sad news in a tweet Saturday, saying “help didn’t get to him fast enough because hospitals were focused on Covid-19.
According to her, he died after a complication from a kidney transplant. She said he could not get proper healthcare because the hospitals were focused on coronavirus and the help he needed was not fast enough.
“I lost a dear cousin yesterday in London. I am hurting,” she wrote on twitter.
“He didn’t get COVID-19. He died from a kidney transplant complication… How sad”.

Omotola said her cousin died alone. She noted that he was too loved to have died alone. The actress also added that the United Kingdom healthcare system failed him.
