News circulating on social media indicates that Dubai-based Nigerian businessman Richard Mompha has been arrested by Interpol for alleged fraud.
The businessman who is popular on instagram for his flashy lifestyle and taste for expensive cars was allegedly arrested 3 days ago, same day as his last post on instagram.

Investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo shared the news on her instagram page and told her fans to be patient as she gathers more information on the matter.
In her post, she wrote:
“#BREAKING ?? Nigerian Bureau De Change King @mompha #Skyman reportedly ARRESTED in Abuja by the International Police @interpol_hq I have left several messages.
“Pls have patience. I’m an investigative Journalist. Arrest was 3 days ago the same time he posted last a picture of his Lil girl.
“Interpol should release a statement soon on WHY he was arrested and exact whereabouts and whose custody he’s in.
“The @officialefcc said they will get back to me too. Only good Journalists know about these secret arrests.???They must be transparent though #humanrights #civilrights. DETAILS LATER…”
Popular gossip account on instagram, Instablog9ja, also shared screenshots of conversations between themselves and some people who confirmed the story.
