Two of the suspects alleged to have murdered Nana Fodour, Asamponhene of Kumasi and the owner of a popular pub in Kumasi known as X5 pub have been arrested.
Police indicate that the two are suspected to have had a hand in the death of the chief who is also businessman.

“Two people so far have been arrested and we are keeping their names close to our chest”, Ashanti Regional Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ghana Police Service, ASP Godwin Ahyiayo confirmed on ‘Kumasi FM’ morning show hosted by Nana Yaw Mensah Joel.
According to the PRO, Police are still currently on a hunt for more assailants of Nana Fodour owned popular X5 pub at Ashanti New Town in Kumasi near the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional office
Nana Fodour was murdered in his vehicle while he was traveling on the Ejura – Nkoranza road.

According to the police officers, they received a distress call about a car being involved in an accident but when they arrived at the scene, they found Nana Fodour in a pool of blood.
The police stated that it has since commenced investigations into the case and is working earnestly to get the perpetrators arrested.
